9th Day Of Navratri 2024
This year in 2024, Navratri 9th day will be celebrated on 11th October 2024 (Monday). Goddess Siddhidatri is also worshipped by Deva, Gandharva, Asura, Yaksha, and Siddha. On the ninth day of Navratri maa Siddhidatri bestows all Siddhis to her devotees and this day marks the final day of the Navratri festival.
Significance of Maa Siddhidatri Puja
On the last day of Navratri, the devotees worship the ninth form of Goddess Durga- Maa Siddhidatri. Siddhi means “supernatural power”, and Dhatri means “ the one who blesses or gives power”. Maa Siddhidatri is the Goddess who possesses and bestows all types of siddhis (Anima, Mahima, Garima, Laghima, Prapti, Prakambya, Ishitva, and Vashitva) to her worshippers. Lord Shiva worshipped Goddess Siddhidatri to attain all the Siddhis. She made him perfect by giving all that she had and became one with him. Lord Shiva’s half body turned into Goddess Siddhidatri. Since then, he got the name Ardhnarishwara.

It is said that manifestation happened when Ma Durga entered the body of Lord Shiva and assumed the left half of it. Siddhidatri Mata Puja Vidhi
- In many Hindu households, Navami (9th day) is considered very auspicious and the day begins with offering food to the nine little girl kids.
- This goddess is worshipped in the form of young girls, also known as Kanjaks.
- At the onset, the first thing that is done during the day is to offer Kalash Puja as this would ward off all the negativities of the day.
