All human beings are imbued with a spark of intelligence. Of all life in the universe, only human beings are blessed with the gift of intelligence. Intelligibility is a wide spectrum of wit, wisdom; materialistic world knowledge, divine and spiritual knowledge.
It is a pure mental exercise and biologically it is related with the activity and sensitivity of the brain cells. Thus the magnitude of intelligence is a variable factor in all individuals and it is measured in terms of Intelligence Quotient, Emotional Quotient, and Social Quotient.
IQ measures the logical intelligence which is needed to perform one’s duty with good motives in life, A person with high IQ gets name, fame and prosperity in every field of his life because he does well in all essential and expected works without harm to public welfare.
EQ measures perseverance, tolerance and sensitiveness of a person. One should be sensible to act upon to share events of fortune and misfortunes of other persons. It is largely related to the dictum of the Geeta-
“Get ready for fight after treating alike pleasure and pain, gain and loss and victory and defeat. By performing your duty you will not get sin.”
SQ measures one’s sociality, humanity and good gestures. Persons with high value of SQ are deep thinkers.
It is observed that there are many persons who without having proper education of school and college are very intelligent with high IQ, EQ & SQ and also there are many highly educated persons who have low value of EQ and SQ.
Indeed, a balance of all these three factors of intelligence confer good development of self and blesses to live a long life free from selfishness, worries, tensions and depressions. Such persons are assets of a family, society and a country. Only those who had done good and noble deeds in their past lives are born such human beings.
Astrologically, there are some places of intelligence in a chart. House 2 refers to the knowledge given in school and colleges, house 4 is related with emotions and house 5 is related with brain cells. Similarly, planets and their signs are very closely related with intelligence. All know that the Sun is a source of heat and light energy as well as illumination. It enlightens our consciousness.
Intelligibility is itself illumination. Thus Sun in strong state in a given chart agitates the brain cells of the native and increases his Atmabala (self confidence) and Atmagyanam (self knowledge) soaring his intelligence to change the appearance, physical prowess and spiritualism.
This is supported by a research work carried at California University by neuropsychologist Michael Persinger and neurologist V. S. Lord Sri Krishna presented versatile paths of intelligence such as Gnana yoga, Samkhya yoga, Bhakti yoga and Kanna yoga. This is a beneficial association that shakes the conscious mind and indicates the benevolent, just, placid and peaceful nature of the native.

Venus is beauty, love, lust, fashion and passion. When it is under the influence of Sun or Jupiter, its lust, fashion and passion get sublimated and it starts to radiate energy of literatural philosophical and spiritual intelligibility.
Thus combinations Sun-Mercury-Venus, Mercury- Venus, Mercury-Jupiter- Venus are significant for divine intelligence, proficiency in writing skills, fluency in talk and proximity to a king. The natives with Saraswati yoga are highly intelligent. They get several opportunities to lift themselves to peak. They are scholars in their subjects and strong in narration. 1. Sun in 10th house, place of administration, government and politics.
2. Mutual exchange of Sun and Jupiter.

Moon is an emotional, impulsive and imaginative planet. It represents compassionate and sympathetic wave of the brain, ie, psychology of the native. It endures some erudite combinations such as Mahabhagya and Kesari yogas. Mahabhagya yoga of a male native is formed when Ascendant, Sun and Moon are posited in odd signs while in case of females it is formed when Ascendant, Sun and Moon are posited in even signs.
The Kesari yoga is formed when Moon is in cardinal position to the Jupiter. These yogas are benedictive to the native for high intelligence and high position. Such natives get name, fame, popularity and prosperity in their life.

• Jupiter, planet of intelligence in its own sign Sagittarius.
• Sun, planet of confidence and knowledge in the sign of Mars.
Both these great persons were independent and original thinker about the social philosophy, however both have been differentiated by their psychology. Chart of Marx shows a blend of Sun-Moon-Rahu receiving aspect of Jupiter and Saturn.
The latter in turn is receiving aspect of Mars. This is a revolutionary planetary disposition that rendered him to deduce his theory of achieving socialism by social, political and economic refinements even by violence. This is in contrast to Nehru’s nonviolent revolution for socialism.
Venus alone has given artistic skills in some particular signs Gemini, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio and Pisces and to some extent in Cancer and Leo in the charts of many cine artists, viz, Ashok Kumar, Anil Kapoor, Aamir Khan, Anuradha Podwal, Dharmender, Girish Karnad, Jai Lalita, Karishma Kapoor, Lata Mangeshkar, Mala Sinha, Madhuri Dixit, Rekha, Raj Kapoor, Sadhana, Shobhna Samartha. Mars- Venus predominate in the charts of Meena Kumari, Dimple, Preeti Zinta, Madonna, Salman Khan while Venus-Rahu predominate in the charts of Nargis, Karina Kapoor and Suraiya.
Although Mars, Saturn and Rahu are logical planets and good for power, position and political intelligence in upchaya houses 3, 6, 10 and 11, yet they are known for dispute, strife and violence as they provide spirit of aggression, insatiable ambitions and unscrupulous intelligence to achieve aims of life. Thus Mars-Rahu, Mars-Saturn and Saturn-Rahu generate hypocrisy and suspicious personality of the native.
Mercury in their proximity or in their constellation reduces activity and sensitivity of brain cells and hence the intelligibility of the native unless it is influenced by Jupiter. In chart of Gemini ascendant of a male native there is an association of Mars-Mercury-Venus in Aries in 11th house receiving aspect of Saturn from 5th house. Although he has completed engineering in computer yet he is facing problems in mathematics, general awareness, discussions, competitions, interviews and hence he faces hardship in the job.
Similarly in a chart of Scorpio ascendant of a female native Mercury posited in the constellation of Rahu and hemmed between malefics is receiving aspect of Saturn.
