Ganesha Chaturthi to remove obstacles from life

Everyone wants a life that is free from obstacles and hurdles, but unfortunately, such a life that is devoid of problems does not exist.

However, presence of obstacles in our destiny from the karmic baggage from previous lives that we carry, is a harsh reality that we are born with.

But there is a divine authority in the form of Lord Ganesha that is there to vanquish all the obstacles in the lives of his devotees.

The celebrations of Ganesh Chaturthi begin in the month of Bhadrapada on Chaturthi which is the 4 date of the Shukla Paksha (waxing phase of Moon), and end on the 14th date of the Shukla Paksha, known as Anant Chaturdashi.

Lord Ganesha is also called "Mangal Moorti" which means- One who is the very idol of auspiciousness, hence, His Darshan and Puja yields incredible auspiciousness and the obstacles present in the destiny of the person worshipping Him, are destroyed at once.

The detailed system of Puja of Lord Ganesha has an elaborate procedure under which Shodash Upachara (16 service worship) of the Lord is performed.

This system of Puja is incorporated mainly to raise the five senses of the worshiper, which in turn will elevate him to a higher level of consciousness that will promote positive thoughts and actions.

People who want their obstacles removed, also try to please Lord Ganesha by reciting 'Shri Ganapati Atharvasheersha Stotra' or get it recited by a learned priest.
